A leading engineering and construction firm is seeking an experienced
Project Director
to lead large-scale
Transmission & Distribution (T&D)
projects across Texas and the surrounding region. This role will provide strategic oversight and leadership on major EPC and Design-Build programs, ensuring safe, timely, and profitable delivery.
Responsibilities
Direct all phases of
high-voltage substation, transmission line, and distribution projects
from development through execution and closeout.
Provide
executive-level leadership
for project teams, including project managers, engineers, and construction staff.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and key point of contact.
Oversee financial performance, including
P&L responsibility , forecasting, and risk management.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Lead business development initiatives, proposals, and presentations to secure future T&D opportunities.
Mentor and develop project management staff, promoting a culture of safety, innovation, and excellence.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders across engineering, procurement, and construction to optimize project delivery.
Monitor compliance with corporate policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
15+ years of experience in
utility-scale Transmission & Distribution projects , with proven success managing large EPC or Design-Build programs.
Strong track record of
leadership on 100M+ projects
in high-voltage transmission (HV), substations, or grid modernization.
Excellent client-facing and business development skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage cross-disciplinary teams and deliver results in complex, fast-paced environments.
Willingness to travel as needed across Texas and the broader region.
