is hiring a
behavioralist
to join our faculty to educate and empower the next generation of family physicians.
Qualified applicants include PhD-level psychologists, experienced Licensed Clinical Social Workers, or experienced Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists. The behavioral scientist will be a key member of the core faculty team of the residency. The candidate will spend approximately 40% of their time providing psychotherapy to patients and 60% supervising and teaching residents, along with assisting with administrative duties of the residency program. The ideal candidate will have both clinical and educational experience, including teaching and supervising learners. Job Responsibilities: Full-time position with a split schedule of resident supervision, clinical practice, and administrative duties. Collaborate with the Program Director on program accreditation, resident recruitment, rotation scheduling, curriculum development, and resident coaching. Participate as a member of residency committees such as the program evaluation committee and clinical competency committee. Perform additional academic and clinical duties as assigned by the program director. Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Model professionalism for residents, medical students, and clinical staff. Possess proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and EPIC EMR. Faculty will be responsible for maintaining an educational environment conducive to resident education across all ACGME competency areas, including subspecialty boards as required. About AdventHealth Ocala With over 100 years of medical leadership, AdventHealth Ocala has served Marion County with numerous innovations, including creating the TimberRidge ER, Florida's first off-site emergency department, and offering minimally invasive heart procedures like TAVR, MitraClip, and the Watchman implant. It is a 385-bed, full-service community hospital, the only hospital in the region delivering babies, and home to Marion County's only dedicated children's emergency room, pediatric unit, and Level II neonatal ICU. Practice Description The West Florida Division Medical Group has experienced rapid growth, nearly tripling in size over six years, with plans to reach 835 providers by 2025. Covering eight counties, it includes diverse practices across multiple specialties, serving one million patients annually with advanced technology, innovation, and compassionate care.
