At Earlswood Veterinary, we’re proud to be an RCVS-accredited general and referral hospital, and we’re looking for a well-rounded GP Veterinary Surgeon to join our warm, supportive team in Belfast. Practice Features
A Practice Designed for Care. Our hospital has everything needed to deliver excellent care – from a spacious reception with separate cat and dog areas, to four consult rooms, three theatres, separate wards, an isolation unit, and staff spaces designed for comfort. Your Role
You’ll enjoy a varied caseload with a good balance of consults and routine surgeries including spays, castrates, lump removals, and dentals. As Northern Ireland’s leading referral practice, we also see a wide variety of complex cases, giving you the opportunity to support and learn from our referral team. Outstanding Facilities
We’re equipped with x-ray, CT, visiting MRI, ultrasound, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, dental x-ray, and a full in-house lab. Our holistic pet team also offers rehabilitation, including a hydrotherapy treadmill. A Skilled Team
You’ll be supported by a dedicated team of seven vets and 22 nurses. Our nurses are highly experienced in inpatient care and surgical support. Within the team we have certificate holders in internal medicine, small animal surgery, ophthalmology, and laparoscopy, alongside a visiting cardiology specialist. Community and Balance
We’re proud to support our local community through school visits and animal welfare initiatives. Role Details
Role is 20–25 hours per week across 2–2.5 days, with 1 in 4 weekend mornings. Shifts are 8–10 hours, finishing no later than 7:30pm. With Vets Now on site, there’s no out-of-hours requirement, giving you time back for life outside work. Salary
