Job Description As a cardiac catheterization lab nurse (RN CCL), you will assist physicians in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, and angioplasties. Duties include prepping patients for their procedure, ensuring informed consent, monitoring vital signs, and administering IVs. During the procedure, you will assist the physician, monitor and assess the patient, and administer medications as needed. Afterward, you will stay with patients until they are stabilized to be transferred or discharged.
Responsibilities
Prep patients for procedures and ensure informed consent
Monitor vital signs and administer IVs
Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., cardiac catheterizations, valvuloplasties, angioplasties)
Monitor and assess patients during procedures and administer medications as needed
Provide post-procedure care and ensure patients are stabilized before transfer or discharge
Qualifications
At least 1 year of recent acute care experience in the specialty
Active RN license
