Overview
The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks to employ a Hepatologist at an open rank. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to provide high-quality patient care, engage in academic and scholarly activities, and contribute to the advancement of hepatology and gastroenterology services at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick. The faculty member will work directly with patients to understand their needs to test, diagnose and treat patients as required, and collaborate with patients\' primary physicians and other relevant physicians to develop medical strategies. Responsibilities include comprehensive inpatient/outpatient care for liver-related and general gastroenterology conditions, performing endoscopic procedures, educating and mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, and other duties as assigned. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at New Brunswick is part of the RWJBarnabas Health System. The integrated health system presents growth opportunities for the gastroenterology and hepatology program and serves a large portion of New Jersey residents.
