The Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Department at Crystal Run Healthcare is a busy, well-established, state-of-the-art practice serving patients throughout Orange County, Hudson Valley, and the lower Catskills. We have the team, equipment, and support you need to practice at the peak of your license and thrive as an Endocrinologist today and tomorrow.
Responsibilities
Investigate, diagnose, and treat the full range of endocrine system disorders, including diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and osteoporosis.
Provide comprehensive diabetes care using a team-based approach with endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators, and nutritionists.
On-site screening for osteoporosis and comprehensive services for thyroid disorders, including laboratory testing, imaging, and biopsies.
Deliver comprehensive medical and procedural endocrine care within a team of 14 fellowship-trained Endocrinologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians.
Consult with patients about endocrine health and discuss the latest advancements in care.
Begin days in multi-specialty outpatient offices and finish with hospital rounds as needed.
Refer patients to advanced specialists as needed; examine and diagnose patients and oversee treatments pre- and post-surgery; assess risks.
Order tests, interpret results, and maintain medical records. Proficiency with thyroid biopsies is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training programs.
Board certification in Endocrinology and any relevant sub-specialties.
Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain).
Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Qualification
Proficiency or comfort with thyroid biopsies.
