Physical Therapist - Seasonal, Emergency Room Department Base pay range: $42.94/hr - $59.26/hr Vail Health has become the world’s most advanced mountain healthcare system. This seasonally positioned role (October - April) offers the opportunity to work in a top hospital with a strong orthopedic case load in Vail, Colorado. Seasonal staff may be eligible for housing, season completion bonus, health insurance, wellness reimbursement credit and 403(b) retirement contribution eligibility. What You Will Do
Evaluates patients utilizing appropriate tests and measurements to determine the physical therapy problem/level of function and the recommended treatment/discharge plan. Promotes and applies appropriate patient care protocol relations to the physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. Establishes physical therapy interventions based on evaluation, examination, physician orders, and patient goals for therapy. Competently and safely performs appropriate physical therapy techniques and procedures. Provides continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to discharge and assists with acquisition as appropriate. Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures within established time frames; submits patient billing at the end of each day. Participates in assigned aspects of affiliated PT/PTA student training. Instructs patients/family members in home programs. Models the principles of a Just Culture and Organizational Values. What you will need:
N/A Licensed as a Physical Therapist (PT) in the state of Colorado or valid PT Compact Privilege required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Other Requirements
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, computer skills necessary to complete online learning requirements, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment.
