The opportunity described here is for a board-certified Internal Medicine physician to join the hospitalist group serving our academic community hospital in Great Falls, Montana. In addition to patient care, our mission includes education and supervision of internal medicine residents and medical students. Our system has a level II trauma designation, offers a wide variety of patients and pathology, collaborative teams, strong specialty support, and scheduling that accommodates an adventurous Montana lifestyle. Position Details

Reasonable patient load with a target start-of-day census of 15 patients to allow for good medical practice and collaboration with colleagues 12-hour shifts, 7 on / 7 off block schedule, typically days (Wed–Tues), working in a team of 7–8 physicians and 2 nurse practitioners, in addition to medical students and residents. A swing/admitter physician (11a–9p) assists with afternoon admissions. Night coverage is provided by 1 physician and 1 APP from 7p–7a. Cover only 1 hospital with 349 acute care beds, admitting medical and surgical patients 18 years and older (adult), excluding obstetrical, providing medical coordination and inpatient utilization management for surgical patients Great access to specialists with over 400 providers on our medical staff representing 40 specialties, including Neurosurgery, CVT Surgery, Interventional and General Cardiology, General Surgery, Urology, Neurology, Nephrology, Orthopedics, Inpatient Gastroenterology, Psychiatry, and more Epic EMR Procedures optional with privileging and no ICU coverage required (intensivists are in house 24/7 for consultation) Oversight of Internal Medicine Residents is expected with additional opportunity to teach medical students Internal Medicine BE/BC required Why We Stand Out
