you matter. John Stoddard Cancer Center , a service of UnityPoint Health – Des Moines, is among the top cancer programs in the nation and has been recognized for quality cancer care. We have been a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program for over 45 years and are also a Breast Cancer Center and Clinical Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence. Our decades of research, treatment experience, and advanced technology enable us to offer comprehensive and compassionate care, including oncology navigation, patient support groups, nutritional support, survivorship, genetic counseling, and wellness programs. The UnityPoint Health - John Stoddard Cancer Center collaborates with a multidisciplinary team of skilled physicians providing state-of-the-art care in Central Iowa, truly taking a community approach to community health. Responsibilities Practice details: Full-time outpatient practice, with inpatient care in collaboration with our high-quality hospitalist team. Work closely with our experienced radiation oncology team at UnityPoint Health – DM. Be part of a strong medical group; UnityPoint Clinic employs the largest primary care network in the Des Moines metro and numerous medical and surgical specialists. We are aligned with community imaging, pathology, GI, and urology groups. Utilize our integrated electronic health record (EPIC) across UnityPoint Health for seamless patient care. Participate in existing medical oncology practices in Waterloo and the Quad Cities, and provide pediatric, adolescent, and young adult oncology care at Blank Children’s Hospital in Des Moines. Access clinical trials through the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program and utilize all resources of John Stoddard Cancer Center. Qualifications Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology. Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted medical license in Iowa. Current and unrestricted authority to prescribe and administer medications. Eligible to work in the United States. H1B and J1 waiver options available.
