1st Choice is currently seeking a Document Clerk for our client, a child support disbursement organization serving the state of Maryland. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the efficient processing of child support payments.
Hours:
Job Type: Full-time
Monday: 5:30 am - 2:00 pm
Tuesday - Friday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (may end day earlier if daily work tasks are finished)
Job Responsibilities: Receive, sort, and scan child support payments and mail.
Manually review and key child support payments and mail.
Conduct Quality Control reviews of scanned payments.
Generate and retain assigned reports.
Organize and maintain storage of child support payments and mail, adhering to State and Federal retention standards.
Conduct outbound calls to child support customers and stakeholders, as assigned.
View and protect sensitive data, including FTI.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures and contractual obligations.
Participate in special projects, as assigned.
Assist with additional operational needs, as assigned.
Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent.
At least one year of prior experience in an area of scanning, payment processing, service delivery, customer service, or other related fields.
Must pass a background and drug test.
Ability To: Perform data entry using a 10-key pad.
Multitask, utilizing multiple systems simultaneously.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Identify and resolve errors.
Work independently with little direction.
Work in a team setting.
Work confidentially with discretion.
Work ethically and with integrity.
Meet schedules and timelines.
Respond promptly to customer needs.
Work successfully in a fast-paced environment.
Interpret and apply laws, procedures, and regulations pertaining to payment processing procedures and the child support program.
Work flexible schedules and overtime hours, as necessary.
