Wanted: Optometrist for Well-Established Practice Location: KEI at Quarry Lake, Baltimore County LifeBridge Health’s Krieger Eye Institute (KEI) represents over 80 years of a singular focus: the eyes of Baltimore. This team of doctors is a multi-specialty practice with all sub-specialties working together to care for our patients in concert. Together, over the years, we have earned the Baltimore Magazine Top Doc award many times. We work alongside nine resident physicians in the ACGME accredited ophthalmology residency program to provide excellent patient-centric eye care. If you aren’t currently available for a full-time position, we have PRN opportunities. Hourly rates range from $70-$84/hour depending on years of experience. If You Possess These Qualifications, Please Apply Immediately OD-Doctor of Optometry required Ability to successfully obtain Maryland therapeutic Optometry license Current BLS and ACLS certifications Interest/additional training in fitting of specialty contacts (i.e. scleral lenses) Interest in teaching ophthalmology residents in practical contact lenses and refraction, and didactic optics lectures Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment New graduates welcome to apply The Opportunity
Our centers are located at Sinai Hospital, and in Quarry Lake/Baltimore County; this position is primarily located at the Quarry Lake location Full-time employed position with base salary and incentive bonus based on collections A blend of 90% clinical work and 10% teaching/administration within a cohesive practice Immediate patient volume with an established specialty contact lens patient population in addition to a comprehensive practice Opportunity to mentor residents: lecturing and having ophthalmology residents in clinic Robust, supportive, and well-trained office staff with technical support Manage a diverse patient population Modernizing Medicine Ophthalmology EMR No on-call responsibilities Onsite testing: Optos, visual field testing, OCT testing, Pentacam, etc. Benefits
