Collaborate as a leader to support the implementation of regulatory strategies and ensure alignment with federal, state, and accrediting body requirements. Work with Emory Healthcare leaders and staff to reinforce a culture of safety, quality, and continuous survey readiness in support of the Always Patient Ready mission. Operationalize regulatory strategies, provide on-the-ground guidance, and contribute to quality improvement and risk reduction across Emory Healthcare facilities. Assist in the implementation of system-wide regulatory initiatives and monitor action plans and compliance progress. Support facility teams in inspections, audits, surveys, tracer activities, and post-survey follow-up. Develop and review regulatory policies, coordinate timely policy updates, and maintain the centralized policy management system. Translate regulatory requirements into practical tools, workflows, and site-level policies; provide direct support during survey readiness rounds. Deliver regulatory education and training, coach during readiness activities, and develop communication materials to promote awareness and engagement in survey readiness. Develop dashboards and metrics to track regulatory compliance and use data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Serve as a liaison between facility teams and the Corporate Regulatory Affairs department; participate in committees and improvement teams. Assist in regulatory incident coordination, follow-up, and dissemination of lessons learned. Travel: Less than 10% of the time may be required. Work type: On-site. Minimum Qualifications
Education - Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field required. Experience - 5-7 years in healthcare regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, or quality improvement within a hospital or health system; experience supporting Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory surveys; leadership or project management experience preferred. Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards across multiple care settings (acute, ambulatory, outpatient). Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (required)
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and accreditation standards (CMS, Joint Commission, state licensure). Ability to interpret and operationalize complex regulatory requirements into practical workflows and tools. Experience supporting regulatory readiness programs across multiple sites or departments. Data analysis and reporting to drive improvement and monitor compliance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to coach teams at all levels. Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment and manage multiple initiatives. Detail-oriented and organized. Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or related field. 8 years minimum experience in relevant roles. Clinical background preferred. Physical Requirements
Medium work; up to 25 lbs; occasional standing, walking, sitting; close eye work; environment may vary by task. Environmental Factors
