Executive Director

is a highly responsible leadership role managing the day-to-day operations. The Director is responsible for implementing policies set by the BBCRA Board, guiding redevelopment and economic development efforts, managing fiscal and capital projects, overseeing staff and consultants, and serving as a liaison between businesses, property owners, residents, and government officials. The position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the economic vitality and physical landscape of the BBCRA Districts through strategic planning, investment, and community engagement. Responsibilities

Execute the policies and direction set by the BBCRA Board across six redevelopment districts. Oversee daily operations of the BBCRA including personnel, budgets, and programs. Manage state and federal grant programs in support of redevelopment initiatives. Provide expertise in redevelopment planning, economic development, and finance. Develop and market incentive packages; conduct market analyses and monitor development trends. Draft, evaluate, and amend the BBCRA Redevelopment Plan as needed. Prepare and manage the annual BBCRA budget in compliance with F.S. Chapter 163 Part III. Administer capital improvement projects and ensure alignment with the 2016 CRA Redevelopment Plan. Present BBCRA initiatives and updates to the CRA Board, City Commission, and community stakeholders. Serve as technical advisor to the BBCRA and its advisory boards. Identify and secure funding sources; maintain relationships with public/private funding partners. Lead public-private partnerships and real estate development negotiations. Promote BBCRA initiatives through media outreach, community events, and social media. Support private developers and businesses with redevelopment-related processes (e.g., zoning, variances). Supervise BBCRA staff, consultants, and special projects. Attend monthly BBCRA Board and City Commission meetings. Hire and oversee staff, consultants, and third-party vendors as outlined in the budget. Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong knowledge of community redevelopment laws, economic development, and urban planning. Understanding of public/private financing tools, incentives, and developer agreements. Proficiency in budget management, fiscal forecasting, and public sector financial procedures. Familiarity with grant programs, CDBG, HUD housing policies, and federal/state compliance. Effective leadership, conflict resolution, and stakeholder engagement skills. Strong public speaking and written communication abilities. Ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder projects and navigate political environments. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard business applications. Demonstrated ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and drive strategic goals. Ethical and professional conduct in alignment with the City of Boynton Beach's policies. Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Construction Management, or related field. Master's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in real estate development, public/private redevelopment, project management, planning, or economic development. Experience in a CRA or similar agency preferred. Certifications & Memberships (Preferred): Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) Florida Planning Association (FPA) Urban Land Institute (ULI) International Economic Development Council (IEDC) International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) NAIOP (Commercial Real Estate Development Association) Other relevant certifications (e.g., AICP, CEcD) Licenses: Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Physical Requirements

Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, copier, phone, fax). Visual and auditory acuity required for interaction and communication. Ability to attend events, conduct site visits, and participate in public meetings. Special Requirements
