Relief Mental Health creates a new standard for mental health care, offering a continuum of innovative therapeutic interventions and responding to evolving patient needs. Relief Mental Health provides transcranial magnetic stimulation, Spravato, IV ketamine, medication management, general psychiatric care, and therapy all in an outpatient setting. We’re seeking a full-time psychiatrist to join our growing team of medical professionals and work across all of our Chicago area locations. The ideal candidate is clinically competent, flexible, team-oriented, and empathetic.

Objectives of this role
Work with other clinicians and staff members to create an environment that empowers patients to pursue healthier lives
Evaluate patients and develop treatment plans that fit their needs in accordance with best practices
Explain the evaluation process to patients and/or primary caregivers, and consider input from patients, caregivers, and colleagues when developing treatment plans
Responsibilities
Evaluate individuals who are referred for psychiatric assessment
Evaluate and oversee patient care for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation
Evaluate patients for Esketamine and Ketamine
Diagnose individuals based on psychiatric evaluation, develop treatment plans, and provide support when appropriate
Provide crisis intervention and assessment
Collaborate with on-site staff to communicate with medical providers outside the organization
Compile documentation in accordance with organization’s policies and procedures
Collaborate with staff clinicians to provide a comprehensive plan of care for Relief patients
Required skills and qualifications
Doctor of medicine (MD) or doctor of osteopathic medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency.
License to practice medicine in the state of Illinois
Active DEA license
Extensive knowledge and familiarity with DSM criteria
In depth knowledge of psychotherapeutic methods
Board certified or Board eligible in psychiatry
Excellent interpersonal and time-management skills
Preferred skills and qualifications
Flexibility to cover multiple work sites and provide aid in crisis situations
Working knowledge of TMS and/or experience in TMS
Interest in new innovation in psychiatry
