Mercy in St. Louis, Missouri, is currently seeking an additional Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our busy and well-established team on campus of Mercy Heart Hospital South. Mercy South, a 767-bed hospital, has been a healing presence in the area for more than 140 years. It is the only Level II Trauma Center in South County with approximately 80,000 ED visits annually. This location also has a 3-star designation by STS, and is one of only 30 Programs in the country to complete the Edwards Benchmark Program for TAVR. Mercy Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery Responsibilities

Well-integrated heart team offers leading-edge services with involvement from Cardiac Anesthesia, Interventional Cardiology, and Imaging Services. Handle a high complexity caseload including HOCM, valves, and aneurysms. Opportunity to participate in a busy lead extraction program, a thoracic program, and a Mitral Clip program. Rigorously defined post-operative clinical pathways and an Early Recovery After Surgery Program. Collaborative multidisciplinary team that supports delivering exceptional, individualized patient care. Largest Primary Care Network & Referral Base in the Greater St. Louis area. Partnership with administration and a voice in decisions regarding how you practice medicine. Progressive, innovative, and efficient environment with full support from the system.
