Responsibilities
Examine children regularly to assess growth and development and assess general physical condition.
Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, growth and development concerns, acute illnesses, infections, or injuries.
Collect, record, and maintain patient information, including medical history, reports, and examination results; obtain information from patients, families, or other medical professionals.
Prescribe or administer treatments, therapies, medications, vaccinations, and other medical care to treat or prevent illness in infants and children; administer medications and prescribe treatments or therapies.
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests to determine diagnosis; discuss procedures and test results with patients and guardians.
Advise patients, parents or guardians, and community members on diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention; provide health and wellness advice to patients, program participants, or caregivers.
Plan and execute medical care programs to support the growth and development of children and adolescents; design and direct health programs and healthcare delivery activities.
Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff; refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
Refer patients to other healthcare practitioners or resources; perform procedures to address diseased or injured body parts as needed; engage in research or consulting to advance medical knowledge and care.
Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness; prepare official health documents or records.

Qualifications
Salary range: $308,000.00 - $390,000.00 plus annual productivity incentives.
