The University of Missouri’s School of Medicine, Department of Radiation Oncology, chaired by Dr. Bo Lu, is expanding and seeking a full-time Radiation Oncologist to build a world-class, specialized clinical practice at Ellis Fischel Cancer Center. Our ideal candidates will provide the highest level of care to patients with complex cases from across the region. The role includes delivering clinical radiation oncology services and leading research and scholarly activities related to oncology and cancer. Responsibilities
Expected mix of teaching and clinical work: approximately 80% clinical, 10% teaching/education, 10% administration. Equipment & Treatments Provided
Trilogy and True Beam Linear Accelerators Varian Ethos Stereotactic Radiation Therapy (SRT) Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) Brachytherapy Support Staff
Radiation Dosimetrists Radiation Therapists Radiation Physicists Radiation Oncology Nurses About Us
Our department treats over 600 new patients annually, including both adult and pediatric cases. We collaborate closely with surgeons, oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists in tumor boards to develop optimal treatment plans. The university offers rich resources, including partnerships with industry leaders like Cerner, Siemens Healthineers, and Thermo-Fischer, as well as access to the Siteman Cancer Center for joint projects and research. We are investing in medical research with facilities like the NextGen Precision Health Institute, equipped with advanced MRI scanners and a large research reactor (MURR) producing radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapy. Qualifications
MD/DO, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Radiation Oncology Application Materials
