Lee Health Heart Institute is actively searching for a Cardiac Surgeon to join our busy and growing comprehensive cardiac program. Program and Focus
Our current program consists of three full-time cardiac surgeons. As a complement to our Advanced Heart Failure program, we are seeking an experienced cardiac surgeon who has current competency in mechanical circulatory support device implants. This surgeon will join our team in performing foundational cardiac surgery including CABG, open valve repair/replacement as well as dissections. However, the niche skill of device implants is critical in taking our program to the next level. Responsibilities

ACGME Fellowship Training in Cardiothoracic Surgery Board Certified Thoracic Surgery by the American Board of Thoracic Surgery Active, Unrestricted State of Florida Medical License (or the ability to obtain prior to start with the organization) Active, Unrestricted DEA Current BLS from the American Heart Association Current Certification for Implantation of Durable, Implantable Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs) with case logs in the past 12 months to validate competency Position Benefits
