Psychiatrist

(FT/PT) to join us onsite in our Los Altos clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team committed to providing personalized, compassionate and high-quality SMI care. The Opportunity

As a Psychiatrist at Amae you will play an integral role in our mission to become the center of excellence for SMI care. In alignment with Amae’s holistic wrap-around care model, you will co-manage a panel of complex members through behavioral health assessments, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, treatment planning, clinical treatment, medication management, and follow-up planning. Working within a collaborative, shared decision-making model, you will partner with clinical staff, peer specialists, primary care providers and community partners. As a patient advocate, you will help members navigate health and social services systems in {{clinic location}}, work closely with patients to address problems, gather information and provide advice, and connect patients to resources and the community. You will establish and maintain trusting relationships with patients and families as you care for Amae Health members. About You

Provide behavioral healthcare management to Amae Health patients; monitor and manage care in alignment with a holistic approach using a range of treatment modalities as patients progress through recovery phases Develop individualized treatment plans early in engagement and stabilization, addressing specific psychosocial and medical needs that might limit recovery Provide continuous, regular consultations as patients navigate recovery, both in person and, on occasion, virtually Liaise with patient care teams and collaborate with behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health What You’ll Have

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist, with a California license and active, unrestricted DEA Possess or be willing to obtain Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment if needed Experience with mental health and/or addiction issues and knowledge of the Bay Area medical, mental health, and social service systems Holistic perspective of health and understanding of patient rights Ability and desire to work with diverse populations, including patients and colleagues Comfort working one-on-one or in group settings with strong coaching and negotiation skills Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment Strong technology literacy and passion for using technology to improve care delivery and patient outcomes What We Provide
