Overview

Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ACHD) Cardiologist role at

University of Utah . The Cardiologist will provide cardiac care to children and adults with congenital heart disease in outpatient and inpatient settings, and will participate in night and weekend call coverage in Pediatrics and in the ACHD program. Most pediatric clinical activities are carried out at

Primary Children’s Hospital , a tertiary referral center for a three-state area located on the hills overlooking Salt Lake City. Children with congenital heart disease in transition age, and adults with congenital heart disease, are seen at Primary Children’s Hospital, Intermountain Medical Center, and at the University of Utah Hospital. In addition to clinical service, responsibilities include teaching, research, and administration activities. Responsibilities

Provide clinical care to children and adults with congenital heart disease in outpatient and inpatient settings. Participate in night and weekend call coverage in Pediatrics and in the ACHD program. Contribute to teaching, research, and administrative activities within the division. Collaborate with the Division of Pediatric Cardiology, including involvement with a growing fellowship program and clinical research activities. Qualifications

Successfully completed a Pediatrics or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Residency. Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology and in Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics on the Clinical or Tenure Track, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Program and Department Context

The ACHD provider will join a 30-member Division of Pediatric Cardiology, including 4 adult congenital cardiologists (2 adult, 2 pediatric). The division has an active clinical program, a thriving fellowship program, an active clinical research program, and a core site in the Pediatric Heart Network funded by the NIH. Protected time for clinical research is available with mentoring for clinical research studies. Salary and Benefits
