C3 AI is seeking a
Senior Director, Clinical AI Solutions
to serve as the clinical SME for our health and life sciences customers. This role involves customer engagement during sales and project execution, providing clinical guidance, and shaping our product roadmap. The ideal candidate is passionate about leveraging data science and AI to enhance healthcare delivery and life science innovation, with proven experience working within the industry—whether in payer, provider, MedTech, pharmaceutical, or consulting sectors—and capable of translating clinical knowledge into innovative product development.
Responsibilities:
Provide a clinical perspective, collaborating with Customer Solutions, Products, and Sales teams to acquire new clients and expand within existing accounts.
Help define strategic directions and priorities for our product development.
Lead customer interactions and engage with thought leaders to understand clinical and business challenges, shaping AI healthcare solutions.
Align customer needs with C3 AI's technical capabilities.
Document customer business processes, scope pilot projects, and initiate AI transformation journeys.
Develop product specifications, including use cases, activity diagrams, mockups, and data requirements.
Create Market Requirements Documents to guide product features and innovations.
Support engineering, data science, and UX teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
Travel up to 50% or more to customer sites as needed.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will have a passion for Machine Learning and AI, combining an M.D. with management consulting or product management experience. They should demonstrate the ability to align complex clinical problems with technical solutions. Specific requirements include:
MD degree.
Minimum 10 years of experience, including at least 4 years as a practicing physician.
Background in management consulting or leadership in a tech/software company.
Experience with machine learning, big data, data science, and cloud computing.
Experience developing healthcare or life sciences software solutions.
Familiarity with payer, provider, diagnostics, or related industries.
Passion for improving healthcare efficiency through software, with an interest in product and technology development.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business case skills.
Ability to articulate product vision, write detailed requirements, and execute strategic plans.
Self-motivated with entrepreneurial drive, capable of achieving goals in a dynamic environment.
