Education

MD or DO

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine

Knowledge of computer systems and applications, including EPIC

Experience / Qualifications

Directorship experience of a hospitalist program

Position Summary This role is for a physician who wants to practice by providing compassionate, patient-centered care.

Maintenance of timely, accurate, and detailed medical records using EPIC

Lead a team of physicians and advanced practice providers for a 24/7 hospitalist medicine team

Prescribes medication or therapy when necessary

Recommends lifestyle changes as appropriate to improve quality of life

Explains all medical procedures thoroughly

Explains test results and provides patients with a plan of care details

Consults with other doctors as appropriate about patient’s specific needs

Serves on hospital Medical Staff and related committees when requested

Seeks to improve patient satisfaction scores and team member goals

Participates in business development and marketing activities to grow the business

Demonstrates understanding of the physician practice environment

Exhibits excellent communication skills at all levels

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements This job can be physically demanding at times, requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods. The team member will need to frequently assist lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, be detail oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs and carry or lift up to 50 lbs.
