Overview:

The Psychiatric Physician at Cone Health can practice in various clinical settings, including inpatient, outpatient, hybrid, full-time, part-time, and relief positions across multiple facilities within the Cone Health system. These include, but are not limited to, the Behavioral Health Hospital, Behavioral Health Unit Crisis Center, and outpatient locations in Greensboro, Kernersville, Reidsville, and Burlington. The Cone Health Psychiatrist is responsible for providing exceptional patient care and fulfilling all clinical duties. Responsibilities:

Provides multidisciplinary team coordination services within assigned areas. Mentors Cone Health psychiatry residents and students as needed. Uses independent judgment for diagnosis and treatment planning, and guides the interdisciplinary team, including advanced practice providers, to meet patient care goals. Models and upholds professional standards, including Medical Staff By-Laws, Service Excellence commitments, practice standards, and professional image standards. Participates in medical audits, quality improvement initiatives, peer reviews, and other activities related to professional care standards. Engages in continuous improvement and utilizes evidence-based practices to enhance healthcare quality, aiming for outcomes in the 90th percentile or above. Maintains records in accordance with MCHS policies, laws, and regulations. Contributes to the development of clinical guidelines, procedures, and programs, and recommends improvements for quality and efficiency. Shares designated on-call responsibilities with other physicians in the assigned areas as needed. Qualifications:

Board certification in Psychiatry, with fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry. North Carolina Medical License. North Carolina Drug Enforcement Administration License.
