Part-time, Full-time, PRN Compensation:
$150 - $185 per hour (based on experience and contract type) Location:
Houston, TX Position Summary: The MindCare Psychiatrist will provide either all inpatient or traditional inpatient/outpatient support and oversight to the medical division within MindCare Solutions. Responsibilities: The psychiatrist will conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to diagnose mental health disorders. Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications ensuring that treatment plans are effective and adjusted as needed. Create individualized treatment plans that include medication management, psychotherapy, and other interventions. Chart audits, peer review, meetings, provider management, etc. Maintain up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and standards of care. Maintain and monitor confidentiality of patients and their files; audit files to determine that all services provided are documented; review status of patients to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed. Work closely with psychologists, social workers, nurses, and staff to provide integrated and coordinated care. Provide immediate psychiatric care in crisis situations, such as suicide attempts or acute psychiatric episodes, and work to prevent incidents through proactive mental health management. Endeavor to comply with the requirements of applicable regulations, laws, rules, procedures, policies, standards, and/or contract. Qualifications: Psychiatrist is required to be licensed in TX. 2 years of inpatient experience (trauma experience required). Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry. Valid and unrestricted DEA in TX. Must be proficient in using Telemedicine technologies to treat patients remotely.
