Overview
Indiana University Health Medical Group is seeking a Hospitalist to join their dynamic team in Bloomington, Indiana, home of Indiana University.
Responsibilities
Join an established practice of physicians and advanced practice providers with excellent team leadership and supportive administration
Full-time, Days
7 on / 7 off schedule, 25 weeks per year
Patient volume: average 16-18 encounters per day with a combination of med-surg, PCU, and minimal ICU level of care (CLOSED ICU); manage codes; strong specialty support
Services include hospital admissions, discharges and coordination with multiple disciplines and ancillaries/cross coverage; procedures not required
100% inpatient
Opportunity to work with medical students; Internal Medicine Residency Program opening 2026
Qualifications
Internal Medicine or Family Medicine BE/BC
Physician licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in Indiana

Hospital Description The IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center opened in December 2021. The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services, outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
Also, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
