Responsibilities
Conduct professional medical and physical examinations on patients.
Make diagnoses and develop appropriate treatment regimens.
Make electronic entries in patient medical record.
Attend hospital meetings.
Attend onsite patient court hearings to provide testimony for court proceedings, discussion with legal representatives/agencies and other duties as necessary.
Administer medical treatment and diagnostic programs.
Apply prior knowledge and training to unusual and varied medical and/or psychiatric conditions.
Provide coverage for day Officer of the Day (OD) calls if requested.
Respond to emergency calls and treatment(s).
Direct work of professional staff.
Work effectively with fellow medical staff and treatment team members such as psychologists, PAs, RNs, LPNs, CNAs, social workers, dietitians, therapists, etc.
Any other duties as assigned.
