Equipped with the latest technologies, Cleveland Clinic's Richard E. Jacobs Health Center brings world-class care close to home for residents in and around Avon, Ohio. In addition to advanced specialty and primary care, this facility includes an outpatient surgery center, an infusion suite for chemotherapy, a full-scale imaging center, two pools for aquatic therapy and more. As an LPN, you will support Dr. Sese and other neuro providers by rooming patients, managing MyChart messages, answering phones, completing refill requests, completing paperwork and supporting Botox injections. This is a multispecialty team that thrives on collaboration and teaching/learning and has a very friendly atmosphere. This position offers opportunities for growth, including tuition reimbursement and the potential to float between departments as needed. This role provides hands-on experience in an operative environment while contributing to patient and caregiver outcomes. A caregiver in this role works days varying from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with rotating evening and weekend requirements. Responsibilities
Provide patient care activities under the direction of an RN and/or physician. Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients. Complete nursing assessments and report all data. Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses. Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments. Perform routine laboratory tests. Educate patients and family members. Draw up Botox Manage phone calls and provide MyChart assistance Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an approved school of Practical Nursing Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications
One year of patient care experience Physical Requirements
Requires full body motion to move and lift patients, manual finger dexterity with good hand-eye coordination, involves extensive standing walking and occasional lifting. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids. Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work. Personal Protective Equipment
