Overview
The University of Minnesota, Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery welcomes applications for a full-time Assistant/Associate/Professor on the academic or clinician track (rank to be determined by qualification and career stage). Candidates appropriately advanced may be considered for an endowed professorship. Responsibilities
Practice: Join a busy clinical practice supported by an audiology team, an NIH-funded Otopathology laboratory, and basic science colleagues. Build a full-time neurotology practice, collaborate with the Department of Neurosurgery in multi-disciplinary outpatient clinics and operative time for management of lateral skull base lesions. Provide clinical services at University of Minnesota Medical Center/M Health. Develop a clinical research program. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited ACGME Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency program. Completion of a Neurotology fellowship or equivalent. American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery eligible/certified. Neurotology subspecialty board eligible/certified. Enthusiasm for teaching residents, medical students and fellows. Desire to work collaboratively with other specialties. Engagement in clinical and/or basic science research to enhance the knowledge base of the specialty. Professionalism with pro bono work and commitment to academic societies. Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure; ability to obtain/maintain DEA certification in Minnesota. Meet credentialing and privileges requirements; able to receive work authorization in the United States. Excellent written and verbal communication; strong collaboration with partners and staff. Patient care/service focus; detail oriented and self-motivated; education-focused with creative problem solving. About the Department
