Position Summary The Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for an Open Rank, Fixed-Term, Tenure or Tenure Track or Variable Track Faculty appointment as a General Cardiologist. The position will be full time clinical, and responsibilities will include outpatient cardiology care (including developing a referral practice), attending on the inpatient units or consult service, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows, residents, and medical students. The position may also involve seeing patients at an outreach clinic and/or interpreting advanced cardiac imaging studies.

Position rank and track (fixed term vs. tenure track vs. variable track) is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD Degree

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience A successful candidate will be Board Certified in Internal Medicine ( ABIM ) and Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to practice independently are essential. Interest and expertise in preventive cardiology, cardiovascular genetics, cardio-obstetrics, cardiac

MRI

or cardio-oncology are a plus as is a track record in cardiovascular research.
