Overview
Amazon Web Services is looking for a highly motivated Solutions Architect to help accelerate our growing business as part of the World Wide Public Sector practice. As a Solutions Architect within AWS, you will influence strategy to build broad use of Amazon's cloud services (e.g., AWS EC2, AWS S3, AWS RDS, and AWS CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. You will own the technical engagement and the ultimate success around specific implementation projects; define implementation architectures; respond to RFPs; develop deep expertise in AWS technologies; and be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. Responsibilities
Own the technical engagement and ensure success around specific implementation projects. Define implementation architectures and respond to RFPs. Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and best practices for building applications and services on the AWS platform. Serve as a security subject matter expert related to customer applications and services. Provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership to customers while collaborating with sales and business development teams. Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community. Educate and collaborate with other technical minds across enterprise architecture.
Basic Qualifications
2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures 4+ years of experience in one or more technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) 5+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting experience in software or Internet industries
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud Experience working with AWS technologies from a development/operations perspective

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $118,200/year to $204,300/year, with pay based on market location and factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
