Excellent opportunity for an experienced Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join a well established group in Birmingham, Alabama.
We offer a robust cardiology program and have received the Blue Distinction Cardiac Care Award! The ideal candidate would have some experience and a broad-based background in the field of cardiac surgery. Opportunity Highlights: Full-time employed position Anticipate 250+ cases per year Office located on the campus of Brookwood Hospital Call 1:3 Candidate Requirements: MD or DO Board Certified in Cardiothoracic Surgery Alabama medical license or eligible to obtain licensure in the State of Alabama Brookwood Hospital is a 595-bed full service medical facility located in metro Birmingham, Alabama. This facility is the largest in the Baptist Health network and admits approximately 25,000 patients annually. It offers a wide range of services including urology, neurology, orthopedics, obstetrics/gynecology, cardiology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, pulmonary, oncology and more. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Brookwood Hospital is recognized for excellence in stroke care, cardiovascular services, rehabilitation, bariatrics, surgical care including minimally invasive procedures and is one of the largest providers of psychiatry care in the state. The hospital is conveniently located ten minutes from downtown, where the city is brimming with restaurants, music venues, greenways, a robust arts scene, nightlife, and shopping.
