Family Physician-Pediatric Sleep Medicine

Overview
CHOC is seeking a full-time Board certified/eligible Sleep Medicine Physician with Board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics or Family Medicine. Additional Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology is a plus, but not a requirement. You will join our well-established and growing team of nine pediatric pulmonologists (3 of whom are board certified in sleep medicine) and six nurse practitioners in the Pediatric Pulmonary department, in addition to working with an experienced team of sleep medicine professionals and support staff in our Sleep Program. The practice offers a full range of Sleep Medicine including: Two AASM accredited Pediatric Sleep Centers on two campuses with a total of 13 outpatient beds and the ability to do up to 4 inpatient studies per night. Multiple Investigator Initiated Clinical Research Studies ongoing within the Sleep Program led by the sleep physicians and a PhD Sleep Researcher with a joint appointment within the division and UCI School of Medicine. Fully integrated EMR system. Multi-disciplinary Clinics including Sleep Clinic with Behavioral Psychology Sleep Surgery Clinic with ENT (Inspire Program) Prader-Willi Clinic with Endocrinology Based on qualifications and interest of candidates, can also evaluate opportunities in the CHOC general pediatric clinics and mentoring/teaching pediatric residents. Responsibilities
Provide quality care to pediatric sleep medicine patients from birth to young adulthood in sleep clinics and reading pediatric sleep studies. Engage in opportunities in quality improvement, community outreach, resident education, and administrative activities. Serve as a clinician-educator at CHOC Specialists, a private pediatric subspecialty group affiliated with CHOC and UCI. Qualifications
Board certified/eligible in Sleep Medicine and board certification/eligibility in Pediatrics or Family Medicine. Additional Board certification/eligibility in Pediatric Pulmonology is a plus but not required. Successful candidates will be board certified/board eligible in Family Medicine as well as Sleep Medicine and be eligible for an unrestricted California medical license. Practice context
