The Family Practice Physician provides comprehensive family medicine services to patients of all ages and genders, within the scope of their training and experience. The care provided aligns with SEARHC policies, Medical Staff Bylaws, and recognized medical standards. Key Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive primary care, including diagnosis, treatment, minor procedures, care coordination, referrals, preventive care, and health maintenance to a dedicated patient panel. Accurately document all services in a timely manner as per SEARHC policies. Ensure an optimal patient experience through effective listening and communication skills to foster long-term relationships. Participate actively in quality improvement initiatives and assurance programs. Attend provider and clinic meetings, and other medical staff functions. Provide services outside the clinic when necessary, such as at long-term care centers, the Pioneer Home, patients' homes, or schools. Qualifications

Alaska Medical License (MD or DO). Board Eligible or Board Certified in Family Medicine; if eligible, certification must be achieved within 3 years of hire. Active, unrestricted DEA registration. SEARHC medical staff privileges. BLS certification. Knowledge and Skills

Strong understanding of primary care principles and practices. Awareness of care standards, EMTALA, HIPAA, risk management, ethics, and malpractice principles. Abilities

Provide high-quality outpatient and emergency medical services, including procedures. Provide clinical leadership, foster teamwork, guide midlevel providers, and resolve conflicts. Efficiently use electronic medical records and related technology. Communicate effectively, analyze complex situations, problem-solve, and implement clinical strategies.
