Budget and Procurement Manager (2502630) Responsibilities

Budget: Oversee and maintain detailed and accurate records of State, Special Appropriation (EIP), IFR, SBF, RF, and IDC accounts; track start-up funds and assist faculty with managing their individual funds; monitor and track allocations to ensure proper and accurate administration; work independently to resolve account discrepancies; oversee and manage the reimbursement process; work with the Department Administrator to maintain detailed and accurate records of revenues and expenses; provide administrative support and act as a delegate on behalf of the CS faculty; liaise with appropriate administrative offices on behalf of the faculty; oversee and assist faculty with travel requests; manage and track expenses for various internal departmental budget categories; assist faculty with RF award budgets and expenditures, and troubleshoot account discrepancies; maintain and assist the Director/Associate Director of Operations with yearly budget and expenses. Procurement: Manage the faculty relocation reimbursement review and approval; manage and assist with shipping requests; provide oversight for tracking invoiced material costs associated with work orders; oversee credit card application processing; manage and allocate Procurement Card funds, place orders for faculty and staff, and reconcile the accounts; manage Wolfmart expenditures and purchasing; manage and assist with large-scale server purchases. Supervision: Provide necessary training and development opportunities to maintain high standards and professional growth; supervise employee performance and evaluation including performance programs, evaluations, disciplinary actions, hiring/termination decisions; serve as a resource to other staff, providing guidance on budget, purchasing, etc. Other duties: Perform other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Three (3) years of directly related progressively responsible full-time administrative experience. Experience supervising professional staff. Highly proficient, professional experience in word processing, spreadsheet management, electronic messaging and internet applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps, Access Database, etc.). Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Business, Higher Education Administration or related field. Experience with budget management. Working knowledge of SUNY State, Research Foundation (RF), and/or Stony Brook Foundation (SBF) budget, personnel, and/or purchasing policies & procedures. Experience in procurement functions. Experience in monitoring and tracking allocations. Special Notes

This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption. In addition to the employee's base salary, this position is eligible for $4,000 UUP annual location pay, paid biweekly. For this position, we are unable to sponsor candidates for work visas.
