Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours: 80
Work Shift: Evening, 8 hours
Job Description Collaborate with healthcare team members to promote optimal imaging procedures. Provide imaging services as per California regulations (Title 17 and Title 22). Apply principles of assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and modification of patient imaging care.
Schedule includes rotation for weekends, holidays, and call coverage, possibly at other campuses. Perform Diagnostic X-ray based on departmental needs.
Note for Los Gatos campus:
Due to being a designated Primary Stroke Center, CT Techs may have on-duty meal periods when unable to be relieved of all duties, which will be considered paid time.
Responsibilities
Limit radiation exposure to patients and staff
Ensure a safe environment at all times
Explain CT procedures to patients reassuringly
Position, transfer, and immobilize patients properly
Perform CT scans, instruct patients, select techniques
Reconstruct images and perform post-processing
Perform quality assurance on images and equipment
Complete documentation accurately (EHR, consent, notes)
Participate in peer reviews and training
Report equipment issues
Follow safety protocols and universal precautions
Stay updated on CT developments and maintain competency
Assist with first aid, CPR, AED as needed

Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT(R) in Radiography and ARRT(CT) within 9 months of hire
California CRT Certificate
California Fluoroscopy Certificate
Venipuncture Certification
BLS Certification
Patient Age Groups This role involves care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Salary Range $70.82 - $89.91 USD per hour
Physical Requirements Medium work: standing most of the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs., sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting. Reasonable accommodations available.
