The Emergency Department Manager (RN) is responsible for overseeing nursing operations during the PM shift in our fast-paced Emergency Department. This leadership role ensures high-quality care, compliance with regulatory standards, and operational efficiency to meet the needs of our patients, staff, and community. The George Washington University Hospital's Emergency Department (ED) provides comprehensive care for patients experiencing acute medical conditions, trauma, and critical illnesses. As a Level I Trauma Center, the ED at GW Hospital is equipped to handle the most complex emergency cases, with highly specialized teams available 24/7. The Emergency Department is a 62-bed unit, including resuscitation rooms, fast-track areas, and specialized spaces for trauma, cardiac emergencies, and stroke. Our ED is supported by state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment facilities, with rapid access to radiology, laboratory, and surgical services. The ED is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurse practitioners, and a highly skilled team of emergency-trained nurses. Our focus is on delivering immediate, patient-centered care while maintaining close collaboration with other specialty areas for seamless patient transitions and long-term outcomes. Job Summary

Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master\'s degree preferred. Licensure:
Current RN license or eligibility to practice in the District of Columbia. Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of Emergency Department nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC and CEN preferred. Skills:
