Responsibilities: • Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Identify oral diseases and provide appropriate treatment for common dental problems including cleanings, restoration, root canals, and surgical extractions • Assess the patients’ overall dental health and look for presence of dental diseases, by thoroughly examining the patients’ teeth using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments • Issue referral for the client to dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Recommend and perform preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans Qualifications: • Board Certified and/or Board Eligible in General Dentistry • Great communication skills and bedside manner are vital • Requires CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications • DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required • State license that is current, unrestricted, and in good standing • General Practice Residency (GPR) • NYS dental license • NYS resident Compensation: $240,000 - $260,000 yearly • Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans
