POTENTIAL
opportunity for a full time Psychiatrist at Fort McPhearson VA Medical Center in Atlanta, GA. Position Details: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm On-site care for Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries Inpatient and Outpatient setting Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to veterans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient mental health needs. Provide 6 to 6.5 direct patient care hours per day or 12 patients for one half-hour each; or any combination of one-hour and one-half hour appointments per day. Shall be responsible for providing comprehensive psychiatric services for Veterans enrolled for care in the Atlanta VA Healthcare System Outpatient Clinics. Provide general psychiatric care to male and female adult Veterans which includes, but is not limited to, conducting diagnostic evaluations, psychiatric consultation, medication management, and individual psychotherapy. The psychiatrist provides assessment of serious and complicated cases involving psychiatric illness, catastrophic medical conditions, dementia, and other high-risk diagnoses. Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible Psychiatrist:
Active certification or eligibility required. Valid medical license in any U.S. state. Current and unrestricted DEA license. BLS thru the AHA or American Red Cross. EOE/Disabled/Veterans
