National Veterinary Associates . An externship at an NVA hospital offers students the chance to understand daily operations and gain hands-on clinical experience. Each hospital provides a supportive environment committed to excellent medicine and exceptional service to animals and their owners. Hometown Animal Hospital/All Pets Dental is a hybrid facility offering dental specialty, general practice care, and holistic integrative medicine. Externs will work with supervising Associate Veterinarians, gaining experience in patient histories, physical exams, treatment plans, diagnostics, dentistry, surgical procedures, and medical management. They will also develop communication skills with the medical team, support staff, and clients. Externship durations range from two to eight weeks, tailored to student and hospital schedules. These experiences are designed for clinical-year students. Veterinary students in the clinical phase may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend.
