Position details Job Title:
Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Primary Care (Mobile Unit)
Salary: $75-$85 per hour
Location: Tustin Mobile Unit
Openings: 1
Purpose To promote and maintain health by providing medical services under the supervision of a physician in our mobile units, which are tactically stationed in various community spots, ranging from homeless shelters and schools to business centers, making quality healthcare accessible to everyone.
Responsibilities
Assesses patient health by interviewing patients, performing physical examinations, obtaining, updating and studying medical histories.
Determines abnormal conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests, laboratory studies and interpreting test results.
Initiates therapeutic interventions, including prescribing medication in accordance with California statute and professional practice guidelines.
Provides continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans, including arranging referrals for patients requiring services not offered at the clinic.
Documents patient care services rendered, timely and accurately in medical record.
Instructs and counsels patients by describing therapeutic regimens, giving normal growth and development information, providing counseling on emotional problems of daily living and promoting wellness and health maintenance.
Complies with federal, state and local laws and regulations as well as professional standards.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks and participating in professional societies.
Develops health care support team by providing information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities.
Participates in quality management program.
Performs other responsibilities, as assigned by Medical Director/CMO.
Qualifications
Currently licensed to work in the State of California as a Physician Assistant; current DEA certificate, current CPR certificate.
Ability to work independently, efficiently and with high quality standards
Effective communication skills
Effective interpersonal skills, facilitating teamwork
Familiarity with electronic medical records
Willingness to enhance clinical knowledge & learn new skills
