Under limited supervision, this position will be based in Columbus, GA and will provide comprehensive dental services in a public health facility to include but not limited to diagnosis and restorative/preventative treatment of dental disease. This is Not a Remote position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate, diagnose and treat diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth, gums and related oral structures, and provide preventive and corrective services
Advise and instruct public health clients regarding preventive dental care, dental problems and oral health care services
Formulates plan of treatment for patient’s teeth and mouth tissue
Provide dental care services to pediatric patients
Supervise paraprofessional staff (Dental Hygienist, Dental Assistant, Customer Service Rep)
Recommend program improvements, as needed
Provide instruction and supervision to dental students in an university affiliated program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Dentist 1
– (Hire-in salary – $110,000.00) Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university and current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
Dentist 2
– (Hire-in salary – $130,000.00) Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university AND One (1) year of experience at the lower-level Dentist 1 (HCP130) or position equivalent and current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
Dentist 3
– (Hire-in salary – $150,000.00) Doctorate or professional degree in dentistry from an accredited college or university AND Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Dentist 2 (HCP131) or position equivalent and current Georgia license to practice dentistry.
Additional Information:
All West Central Health District 7 employees are deemed essential workers in the event of an emergency. You may be called on to participate in events including but not limited to staffing shelters, working at a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or at a Point of Dispensing site (POD). If called, you are required to report to the designated site as a condition of employment, whether the emergency occurs during or outside regular work hours.
