Rush Specialty Hospital, a partnership between Select Medical and RUSH, is a 100-bed facility that combines a critical illness recovery hospital and an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital. Nurse Manager - Critical Illness Recovery Location:

$133,500 - $145,000

(based on experience) Responsibilities
As the Clinical Nurse Manager, you will report to the Chief Nursing Officer and, working alongside nurses, direct assigned nursing personnel, serving as a resource person and consultant to ensure the plan of care for the patient population. Possess a specialized knowledge base and skills to facilitate patient treatment and staff development. Provide and oversee patient care, implementing hospital and department philosophy and objectives. Provide leadership during times of crisis to assure continuity of care and a productive work environment. Maintain approved standards of patient care, collaborating with appropriate persons for continuity of care under the guidance of the Chief Nursing Officer. Communicate clinical issues related to service or program development to the CNO. Promote clinical development, competency, and expertise in staff to maximize patient outcomes. Evaluate performance of professional and non-licensed nursing personnel and participate in interviewing prospective staff. Ensure staff document care provided, patient family teaching, and discharge planning for assigned patients. Contribute to the smooth functioning of the unit by providing direction to staff, other departments, and families as needed. Minimum Qualifications
Valid State RN license At least 3 years of clinical practice experience with an emphasis on leadership 1 year of previous management experience BLS required upon hire ACLS certification within first 6 months of hire Preferred Experience
