Job Schedule: 9/80 Employees work 9 out of every 14 days – totaling 80 hours; every other Friday off. Aerojet Rocketdyne segment of L3Harris, is seeking a Lead Quality Engineer to join our Space Propulsion and Power Systems (SP&PS) team. This individual will drive quality processes and procedural compliance across the factory floor encompassing multiple product lines, collaborating with quality and operations leadership, and working closely with the Sr. Manager – Product Acceptance. Responsibilities

Champion, lead, and support the execution of flow-down strategic initiatives. Utilize engineering background to ensure customer requirement flow-down and hardware compliance to specifications. Handle and communicate deviations/non-conformances at various levels within the organization and with customers as applicable. Prepare comprehensive analyses, procedures, reports and presentations for internal and external customers. Participate in improvement teams to reduce risk using six sigma tools. Apply Lean Manufacturing and zero-defects quality principles to continuously improve processes, reduce cost, and ensure product/service quality. Drive corrective and preventative action activity in-house and at suppliers; provide Corrective Action Board support for timely and effective problem closure and recurrence control. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications, customer quality requirements, and company quality requirements to ensure compliance. Participate in design reviews to identify and correct inspectability and producibility issues early in the product life cycle. Provide clear flow-down of product definition and Quality requirements to suppliers. Participate in the Material Review Board, including segregation and control of nonconforming hardware, disposition of nonconforming hardware, and preparation for board meetings. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 9 years of related quality experience; graduate degree with a minimum of 7 years; in lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of related quality experience. Preferred Additional Skills

Technical Skills: Familiarity with AS9100, ISO9001, or other quality management systems; proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and specifications; experience investigating technical issues and nonconformances to determine root causes and implement corrective actions (8D or similar tools). Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Self-Starter: Ability to hit the ground running with minimal supervision; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; advanced business knowledge, general management, and leadership capabilities; proven experience developing and implementing quality assurance programs; experience with high-complexity aerospace production; experience interfacing with US government agencies and/or aerospace prime customers; CQE and/or CSSBB certification; APQP and/or Zero Defect Planning experience; EVM and BOE experience; proficient in MS Office, Qlik/PowerBI, Visio, and Minitab. Salary, Benefits & Compliance

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary ranges are as follows: California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, Greater D.C., Denver, NYC areas: $114,000 - $212,000 Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Vermont: $99,000 - $184,000 Final offer may vary based on experience and location.
