Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organization specializing in large-scale fabricated equipment. This role will play a key part in ensuring supplier performance, quality compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the supply chain. You’ll collaborate closely with suppliers, internal engineering, and operations teams to qualify new suppliers, monitor ongoing performance, and drive corrective actions when needed. Responsibilities

Lead supplier qualification activities, including inspections, audits, and capability assessments for new and existing suppliers. Partner with suppliers to develop and maintain supplier quality plans based on data analysis, performance trends, and risk assessments. Conduct and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for supplier nonconformances and oversee implementation of effective corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA). Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet company and customer requirements. Support supplier-related problem solving and act as the technical liaison between suppliers and internal cross-functional teams. Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping of supplier audits, corrective actions, and quality plans within company systems. Utilize MRP/ERP systems to analyze material quality issues, track supplier performance, and support production planning. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field preferred). Minimum of 3+ years of experience in supplier quality engineering within a fabrication or heavy manufacturing environment. Demonstrated expertise in supplier inspections, qualifications, and audits. Strong background in root cause analysis, corrective action planning, and supplier quality improvement initiatives. Experience in developing and implementing supplier quality plans through data-driven analysis. Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems for supplier and material management. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both suppliers and internal teams. Additional details
