Heritage Bank currently has an exciting opportunity to join our organization. The Shoreline Branch is seeking a New Accounts Representative to help customers meet their financial goals by providing exceptional customer service, opening new accounts, and actively participating in branch sales activities. This position is full-time and onsite in Shoreline, WA. The typical schedule is Monday–Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5:15 p.m. and Friday 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.; flexibility is required to work as needed for training or employee absences. The Shoreline Branch is a designated travel team branch, with travel primarily supporting Snohomish and King counties; travel to other surrounding counties may be required. Base Salary Range:

Level I: $20.00–$23.84–$28.61 per hour; Level II: $20.50–$25.62–$30.75 per hour. Depending on qualifications and experience, New Accounts Representative I or II may be considered. This position is full-time and onsite at Heritage Bank in Shoreline, WA. Salary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents Heritage Bank’s current salary range for the position. The Role at a Glance Build and maintain strong business relationships with all customers and prospective customers through established customer service and sales standards.

Open new accounts in accordance with all account opening and ownership verification procedures and compliance requirements. Actively grow and cross-sell business transaction accounts as well as all bank products and services.

Partner with other lines of business to meet customer needs and achieve production goals.

Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of current Bank products and services.

Maintain confidentiality when handling customer requests and transactions.

Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Participate in branch functions and community activities to promote the Bank’s image and growth.

Receive checks and cash for deposit, verify amounts and endorsements, enter information in data processing system, issue receipts, cash checks and pay out money upon verification standards and balance in an accurate and complete manner.

Place holds on accounts as required and complete appropriate documentation for holds placed.

Core Skills and Qualifications Level I:

1+ year of recent new accounts and relationship selling experience, with working knowledge of new account documentation and compliance in a financial services environment—required.

Level II:

2+ years of recent new accounts and relationship selling experience with working knowledge of new account documentation and compliance in a financial services environment—required.

In-depth working knowledge of related statutory banking and compliance regulations, operational policies and procedures, and the Bank’s products and services.

Detail oriented with strong organizational, problem solving, and time management skills.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English well. Multilingual ability is a plus but not required.

Understanding and working knowledge of core processing/operating systems (e.g., Fiserv, DNA) with ability to learn new technologies quickly.

The position may require National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008; continued employment is contingent upon successful registration and annual re-registration thereafter.

Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and access to reliable transportation, or the ability to access an alternative method of transportation to carry out job-related essential functions and training.

Working Environment / Physical Demands Climate-controlled office environment.

Regular attendance, punctuality, and adherence to the schedule with willingness to work a flexible and/or rotating schedule.

May be exposed to risks associated with criminal activity (e.g., robbery, fraud, security) with detailed instruction to minimize risk.

Frequent computer use, reading reports, and sitting throughout the day.

Ability to operate a computer keyboard, multi-line telephone, photocopier, scanner, fax, count cash, and operate a cash counter with dexterity and repetitive hand/wrist motion.

Ability to stand or sit for extended periods; occasional kneeling, reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying.

Occasional lifting to move money and coins (25–50 lbs) or files/boxes (5–10 lbs).
