Overview

The Scientist II will play a key role in developing, executing, and optimizing cell-based assays and molecular biology techniques to support ongoing research. This is a hands-on, onsite laboratory role involving mammalian and iPSC-derived cell populations, automation platforms, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will have strong wet lab experience, excellent record-keeping, and the ability to work independently while communicating effectively with stakeholders. Responsibilities

Assist in developing, executing, and troubleshooting new cell-based assays, protocols, and analysis methods. Establish and document SOPs using automation platforms (BRAVO/Apricot) to increase assay throughput. Design and execute experiments, interpret data, and communicate results and findings clearly to teams and stakeholders. Support the maintenance and characterization of iPSC-derived cell populations, including immunocytochemistry, plate-based assays (Quanterix, Luminex, MSD), qPCR, and other molecular biology techniques. Maintain accurate and detailed records of laboratory activities. Collaborate effectively across functional areas to achieve project goals. Skills & Qualifications

Required: BS degree in Molecular and Cell Biology or related disciplines (Immunology, Biological Engineering). 1–2+ years of wet lab experience in academia or industry (recent graduates considered; industry experience preferred). Extensive experience with mammalian cell culture using sterile techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform accurate data analysis and maintain meticulous notebook records. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including preparation of lab reports and presentations. Extensive in vitro experience. Ability to remain focused and on task without supervision. Preferred: Experience with automation platforms such as BRAVO or Apricot. Familiarity with immunocytochemistry, plate-based assays (Quanterix, Luminex, MSD), qPCR, and related molecular biology techniques. Education
