Overview

The Center for Early Detection and Interception – Solid Tumor (CEDI) at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) is seeking a full-time medical oncologist (MD or MD/PhD) for a clinical position based within CEDI and a solid tumor oncology Division, commensurate with interest and expertise. Priority areas include development of programs in breast and lung cancer early detection and prevention. CEDI is an integrated clinical and research center that aims to stop cancer before it starts by monitoring patients at elevated risk for developing cancer. The position is based in both the Department of Medical Oncology at DFCI and the Department of Medicine at BWH, with collaboration across institutions affiliated with the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School. Responsibilities

Engage in a highly active clinical practice fully integrated within a large and growing clinical and translational research program. Participate in clinical trials, outcomes research, or translational research as appropriate. Provide robust clinical service, conduct clinical investigations, and teach medical students, house staff, and oncology fellows in outpatient and inpatient settings. Deliver oncology care in cancer treatment clinics and in CEDI clinics focused on patients at elevated risk of cancer, with the goal of intercepting cancer or detecting it early. Apply experience in cancer risk, early detection, or interventions aimed at decreasing cancer incidence (asset if applicable). Qualifications

Medical degree (M.D.) or M.D./Ph.D. and eligibility for subspecialty certification in medical oncology. Academic rank of Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School commensurate with experience, training, and achievements. Ability and interest in teaching, clinical service, and research in early detection and interception of cancer. Application Process
