Position Overview

The Medical Science Liaison (Derm) will support the Medical Affairs team. The primary activities are scientific presentations, development of advisory presentation content, clinical trial support, and assistance with sales training. The MSL will utilize existing contacts with Key Opinion Leaders and relevant clinics in the region and further develop corporate relationships and partnerships. In addition, the MSL will build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs and field training and support. The MSL is expected to work autonomously within the Medical Affairs department, with support at National and Regional meetings and corporate presentations and responsibilities. Compensation

This range is provided by Castle Biosciences, Inc. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Base pay range : $180,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr Additional compensation types : Annual Bonus and RSUs Location note : Looking for candidates who have their home base office in Indianapolis or Kentucky near major airports Responsibilities

Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with opinion leaders. Maintain clinical, scientific, and technical expertise in disease-state areas. Perform feasibility analysis on all clinical trial sites. Prepare reports on on-site feasibility for the clinical services team. Respond to and document unsolicited medical requests for information on Castle products and development programs. Facilitate investigator-sponsored trials and provide medical/clinical teams with feedback and insights from trial leaders. Prepare and implement scientific presentations both locally and nationally. Staff booth at all trade shows where Sales is present to provide scientific discussions. Work in conjunction with sales operations and training departments to implement field training. Adhere to corporate SOPs with legal and regulatory guidelines governing scientific interactions with physicians and healthcare professionals. Advanced degree including, but not limited to, MD, Ph.D., PharmD, RPh, MSN Strong written and oral communication skills Self-starter, autonomous experience in a start-up environment High level of scientific and clinical acumen Understanding of regulatory framework and compliance in interacting with the medical community Actively display characteristics that support the mission, vision, and values of Castle Biosciences, Inc. Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of previous MSL experience strongly preferred, with a minimum of 3 years in Melanoma, Oncology, or Diagnostics Rare disease experience is an added benefit Technical Skills

Strong computer literacy is required Excel and MS Word proficiency Ability to prioritize and multi-task Experience listening, and oral and written communication skills Behavioral Competencies

Strong written and oral communication skills Understanding of regulatory framework and compliance in interacting with the medical community Travel Requirements

Ability to travel frequently with overnight stays Seniority level
