General Summary
Works in conjunction with Process Engineers to develop and maintain manufacturing techniques and processes. Recognizes and utilizes prescribed techniques to solve problems.
Can recommend and execute enhancements to product and process flows. Responsibilities Supports Process Engineers in establishing high yielding, cost effective processes based on product
need
and customer requirements. Complies with Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments. Sets-up and operates equipment and develop process programs. With direction from Process Engineers,
can
execute design of experiments (DOE), gathering data for analysis. Uses principles of Cost of Goods Sold and executes process improvements to increase cost effectiveness of manufacturing. Serves as
member
on cross-functional project teams. Ensures Intellectual Property issues are being considered relative to processes being developed. Basic Qualifications AS degree in Engineering or Technical Field required; advanced degree preferred. Minimum 3
years
relevant engineering experience. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity
of
MIL-PRF-38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO9001 and EIA/
JEDEC and
standards. Strong electro-mechanical aptitude; can identify and resolve complex system problems. Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment. Must be able to
multitask,
and prioritize
projects assigned
. Understands work environment issues (i.e. OSHA regulations, etc.).
