Sr. Insurance and Risk Manager BayMark Health Services

is looking for an individual to handle the

administering of all

commercial insurance policies, be the point of contact for all insurance matters, and to develop/manage

risk and

safety programs.

Responsibilities Reasonable

workers’ compensation, general and professional liability programs and all

other commercial insurance policies. Responsible

for obtaining information from various internal departments

in order to

provide

insurance brokers and carriers information needed for on-going program administration,

renewals, claims and development and acquisition activity. Advises

employees regarding insurance

questions, and

is the point of contact with insurance

brokers. Reviews

lease agreements to ensure compliance with insurance requirements. Responsible

for processing claim reporting and payment coordination for the insurance

program. Provides

support and assists in investigations surrounding claims, and litigation support. Coordinates

the preparation of insurance renewals. Manages

the

Commercial Driver’s License Program and motor vehicle policies

in coordination with the HR Department. Conducts

risk assessments, collects and analyzes documentation, statistics, reports and market

trends, and identifies insurable risks and hazards to which the company, employees, and

citizens may become exposed. Advises

the executive team on loss trends, claim frequency and severity, and potential risks,

hazards and liability for the company and staff. Establishes policies and procedures to identify and address risks within the company. Recommends

and implements risk management solutions such as insurance, safety and security

policies, business continuity plans, or recovery measures. Responsible

for the scheduling, coordination and preparation of safety

trainings

. Conducts quarterly insurance, risk and safety meetings with the executive team. Presents to the executive team short and long-range divisional priorities, goals and objectives

for risk and insurance. Assist the executive team as needed with projects and other related tasks. Prepares and maintains a variety of correspondence, which may include but not limited to files,

records and communication materials. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, legal, insurance analytics, commerce, risk

management, or a related field. Experience

training teams on potential risks, strategic plans, and coverage requirements for

various programs. A

minimum of five

years

experience

in a multi-site healthcare

organization

insurance and risk

management program. Proficiency

using Risk Management Information Systems (RMIS) or similar risk management or

claims tracking systems. Strong

understanding of commercial insurance policies and administration as well as experience

working with insurance brokers, carriers, and adjusters. Experience

with legal reporting, legislative rulings and case law as it relates to claims and

insurance. Strong

knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint SharePoint, HER and Visio as

well as online/Internet-based research tools. The

utmost integrity in the discreet and confidential handling of confidential materials is

necessary. Strong

supervisory and management skills. Ability to function independently with limited direction. Excellent interpersonal skills with a high level of diplomacy and political awareness, and ability

to work effectively as a member of the legal department. Must possess strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and project

management skills. Exceptional

oral and written communication skills. Demonstrate

ability to meet deadlines. Must have the ability to multitask. Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
